Welcome to ANAF Unit 283 Sports Leagues


ANAF Unit 283 is home to a vibrant and active sports program. Our sports room features four full‑size 6×12 snooker tables, two shuffleboard tables, and eight dart boards, making it one of the most impressive recreational spaces in the area. League play runs from fall to spring each year, with sign‑ups kicking off at our Sports‑A‑Rama in August.


Snooker Leagues

We host four snooker leagues throughout the week:

•            Senior Snooker League – Singles on Monday afternoons, doubles on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons

•            Master Snooker League – Tuesday evenings

•            Men’s Snooker League – Singles on Monday evenings, doubles on Wednesday evenings

•            Ladies Snooker League – Thursday evenings


WVEBL (Winnipeg Veterans English Billiards League)

Two teams representing Assiniboia Unit 283 compete in the WVEBL, playing out of Assiniboia Unit 283 on Thursday evenings.


Shuffleboard

Our large shuffleboard league plays Monday and Wednesday evenings, offering fun, friendly competition for all skill levels.


Darts

Our dart league plays Tuesday evenings, with the season divided into two groups: the House League from September to January and the McMillan League from January to April.


Curling

We also have a curling league based out of Unit 283, curling Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. at the Deer Lodge Curling Club.
