  It is with great pleasure to report the Unit 283 Curling League were back on the ice and able to compete in the 2021-22 season at Deer Lodge Curling Club. Unable to play last year and with the previous year coming to an abrupt end due to Covid it was great having all 6 teams return this season for great fun and comradeship. After 20 weeks of competition we held our final draw on March 27 followed by an awards luncheon with special guest, Unit 283 President, Bill Sadler presenting the aggregate trophy to Team Seredynski.
This year we also participated in the inaugural ‘Over the River Challenge’ at Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club against Charleswood Legion 100 Curling League on February 13th. That event raised over $2500 for Vets Canada and I am happy to report was more than matched by ANAVETS Dominion Command for an additional $4000. Dominion Command will be making a special presentation on Tuesday April 12th to Vets Canada prior to the CVMS Meat Draw at Unit 283 around 6:30 pm.
 All teams are committing to return next fall and are looking forward to the 2022-23 season.
